Microsoft Windows Media Player is a multi-media playback application. A vulnerability is present in Microsoft Windows Media Player that may allow for a code execution attack. The buffer overflow lies in processing of specially-crafted Server Side Playlists that contain mixed sample rates. Exploitation could occur when playing audio-only files streamed from an attacker-controlled site.
