NAI Labs AVERT would like to inform you of a new email HOAX.

This email message is just a HOAX, currently we know of no other message that the user will receive about the HOAX as the initial email states. AVERT has not received any report of a user's hard drive being erased for opening the email.

We are advising users who receive the email to delete it and DO NOT pass it on as this is how an email HOAX propagates.

Here is a translation of the message.

Subject: Important new virus Importance: High A lot of attention!!! b Microsoft has just announced the most fatal of all the viruses!! BANCOC.VBS That virus was discovered in Argentina and is spreading very quickly throughout the whole world. It spreads with the title "Girls of Playboy" and forces the reader (user) to save it in the hard disk. The virus has the attachment BANCOC.VBS. We need everybody to help stop the virus. Up to now, nobody has found a vaccine against it. McAfee and Norton announced the same being of high risk. Be careful, it destroys your hard disk and erases Windows off your hard disk!!! Send this email to all your friends... Thank you for your attention.
