Characteristics
This is not a virus, it is a Random Batch Trojan Generator kit. When run, the program displays the message:
Random Batch Trojan Generator v1.1 (c) by Duke/SMF
Use "RBTG.EXE -V" to hide this message
And creates a simple destructive batch file trojan under the name TROJAN.BAT. The generator is detected as "RBTG.kit" and the destructive trojans are detected as "RBTG"
The 4070 DATs had a false positive of "RBTG" on some batch files which contained the "DELTREE /Y" command, mistaking them for trojans created with RBTG.kit.

Overview -
This is a trojan detection. Unlike viruses, trojans do not self-replicate. They are spread manually, often under the premise that they are beneficial or wanted. The most common installation methods involve system or security exploitation, and unsuspecting users manually executing unknown programs. Distribution channels include email, malicious or hacked web pages, Internet Relay Chat (IRC), peer-to-peer networks, etc.
