Characteristics
When executed this trojan modifies the Internet Explorer search page settings to: http://www.i--search.com/ie/
Upon execution the following registry entries are made:
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main "Search Page" = "http://www.i--search.com/ie/"
A file called pcsearch.reg is dropped into c:\Windows and run at everystartup:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run "SysSearch" = "REGEDIT.EXE -s C:/WINDOWS/pcsearch.reg"
This means that if you try to remove this new Search Page manually within Internet Explorer, this trojan will constantly re-open it after you re-start the PC.
Please note that pcsearch.reg is already detected as Reg/Seeker trojan.

- Internet Explorer Search Page changed to http://www.i--search.com/ie/
- Presence of pcsearch.reg on the system.
